ABSTRACT

Venezuelan is a country that has been endowed by nature with a non- renewable natural resource of high value to society today, called oil. Since the beginning of the industrial age and in developing in the last century of modern chemistry and engineering, the number of products and materials synthesized “artificially” from other simpler approaches more nearly a full. The Petrochemical industry used as feedstock the oil and natural gas to produce a large number of chemical that transform society in which they lived. PEQUIVEN, is a subsidiary of PDVSA, which produces and sells petrochemical products in the Venezuelan and international markets. Operates three petrochemical complexes: El Tablazo (Zulia State), Morón (Carabobo State) and José Antonio Anzoátegui (Anzoátegui State). Promotes social equilibrium with high sensitivity and ecological community. Because of this, it creates PETROCASA, business to design a system for construction of houses, used as raw material polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with technological innovation and change that allows industrialized projects for self organizel communities in order to help the housing problema in Venezuelan. The objective of this research is to investigate the social impact that it has the petrochemical industry in Venezuela.
